VoltaDom, by Skylar Tibbits – for MIT’s 150th Anniversary Celebration & FAST Arts Festival (Festival of Arts, Science and Technology). Double curved surfaces manifested in panels (made with digital fabrication techniques, OH I LOVE!)

The double curved surfaces  look like a fluid modern adaptation of the traditional vaulted ceilings found in old cathedrals. How witty to place them inside a glassed corridor allowing one to appreciate the installation both as a sculpture and a circulation

VoltaDom is by MIT Architecture Lecturer Skylar Tibbits who runs the amazing multifaceted practice  SJET.
