Mies on Technology

08/11/2009 · Leave a Comment

from some old guy  who smoked way too much cigars in the 1950s

“Architecture depends on its time. It is the crystallization of its inner structure, the slow unfolding of its form. That is the reason why technology and architecture are so closely related. Our real hope is that they will grow together, that some day the one will be the expression of the other.”

Mies van der Rohe delivering a speech at the Illinois institute of Technology

I blogged about a pair of Eskuche headphones before and this is another one that caught my eye. I love the retro beige gloss finishing on this one it reminds me of this old plastic clock i have in the living room that is as old as i am.
